1. Bluetooth® certification using ST67W6xM Chipset
1.1. Bluetooth® LE qualification process
All products using Bluetooth® technology must complete the Bluetooth® qualification process. Refer to the Bluetooth® SIG webpage (Bluetooth® qualification process overview)[1].
The Bluetooth® qualification process is not a matter of putting the Bluetooth® logo on a product, but of using licensed technology.
1.1.1. Qualification workspace process flow
The customer can reuse certified STMicroelectronics ST67W6xM chipset module.
Qualified product details are found in https://qualification.bluetooth.com/ListingDetails/277352 on which the design name ST67W611M1 appears with DN: Q347605.
Controller core specification (RF-PHY / LL / HCI) with host core specification (GAP / GATT / L2CAP / SM) and mesh (protocol / model) have been certified and can be reused for any customer. This certification is based on included design Qualcomm technologies with the design name QCC74x/QCC74xM.
Under the Bluetooth® qualification workspace, the customer is invited to provide their own product details. Then, to specify the design, the customer should provide a reference to Q347605 | ST67W611M1 | STMicroelectronics and use this design without modification.
As the customer is using a single existing design, the customer can continue to "QPRD Option1" where a product qualification fee is required for submission. Once the receipt number payment is obtained, submission can be completed with the dedicated customer product name.
