The STM32CubeAI Studio 1.2.0 release introduces a major update to runs overview and memory allocation visibility, with new memory pool charts, weights mapping, and an improved centralized view of project runs.
This release also adds Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication, project hide/unhide capabilities, and simplifies installation for new users by integrating the ST Edge AI Core installer.
In addition, several UI/UX improvements, bug fixes, and hardware-related correction have been implemented.
1.1. New Features and Improvements
User Interface Improvements:
- Added memory pool chart visualization and weights mapping.
- Added validation project export.
- Added support for Makefile toolchain.
- Added a complete runs list grouped by target, model, and key criteria.
- Added support for Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication.
- Added project hide/unhide functionality.
- Integrated the ST Edge AI Core installer into the STM32CubeAI Studio installer.
- Updated ST Community contact email information.
- Added support for `.keras`, `.h5`, and `.hdf5` model files.
- Added proxy configuration and offline mode support for unconnected machines.
- Implemented additional user interface and user experience improvements.
Hardware & Firmware Updates:
- Corrected baud rate configuration handling.
1.2. Bug Fixes
- Fixed STM32CubeMX project import when using unsupported toolchains.
- Fixed incorrect availability of the Generate Code button when a run fails.
- Fixed STM32CubeMX clock tree configuration issue on STM32U5 (0x481).
1.3. Known Issues
Linux & Windows:
- U3HSP generation fail with IAR 9.4
- Chinese characters in project path or project name not recommended
- In some very rare cases the update fail to finish (under investigation)
On Linux:
- Spurious error on target validation. Root cause not identified
- E200(ValidationError): TARGET: Unable to bind the ST.AI runtime with "network... Workaround: Relaunch the Run.
